Today is my first day wearing our new half-sleeve uniform with pants, so I want to share my experience and compare it with our old overall uniform.
These past few years, the weather has become much hotter because of climate change. Even if we use the air conditioner and electric fan inside the workshop, it is still very hot. When we do maintenance on cars, the heat from the engine and the surrounding area makes the job even harder. Sometimes the fans and air conditioner are just not enough.
Starting this July 1, our company gave us a new uniform. The colors are red, black, and gray, and I think it looks nice. I wore it today for the first time, and I noticed that the fabric is much lighter than the old one. It also has two small cooling fans that help keep air flowing inside the uniform. Because of that, I felt more comfortable and less hot while working.
New Half-Sleeve Uniform with Pants

The fabric is light, so it feels more comfortable to wear.
The two small fans help keep me cool while working.
The new color combination looks clean and modern.
The half sleeves make it easier to move and work.
After wearing it today, I felt more comfortable than before, especially in the hot weather.
Old Overall Uniform

The fabric was thick and heavy.
The plain black color made it feel hotter under the sun.
The material was rough and not very comfortable.
Since it was a full overall, it trapped more heat inside.
It protected us well, but it was not comfortable during very hot days.
For me, the new uniform is a big improvement. It makes working in hot weather much easier, and I hope it will help us stay more comfortable and work better every day.
How does your company deal with hot weather at work? Do you use cooling uniforms, fans, more breaks, or something else? I'd love to hear your experience.
